One of the most popular tennis balls is the Penn ball. At LCC the Wilson ball is the most popular, and in my opinion, the better ball to play with. Anyhow, I came across a can of Penn's grandfather - the Pennsylvania ball. The color scheme of the can is the same as the Penn ball, and it contained 2 white balls. My guess is that at one point someone in the administrative office said "Pennsylvania is too long. Let's just call it Penn.".
Thanks for your update, but it is a little known fact that the Penn ball is actually named after the famed actor Sean Penn, who is a known radical who is friends with Chavez and Castro.
ReplyDeleteAs a result, these balls spin only to the left, no matter how they are hit.
Gotcha.
